What makes inclusive employment work? It starts with the right fit. It’s about matching the needs of your business with a job seeker whose skills and strengths can contribute to your team. And that’s where PROVAIL can help. We work with employers to connect them with job seekers with disabilities and provide ongoing support to help make the match successful.
spotlight: a strong match at funko

At the Funko HQ Store, that approach helped connect Steve, a PROVAIL Employment & Community Supports participant, with a role that supports both his employment goals and the store’s day-to-day needs.
A PROVAIL Job Developer worked with Funko to identify a role that matched Steve’s strengths while supporting the store’s day-to-day operations.
Beth Crnkovich, General Manager, Funko HQ Store, said the match has been a success.
Support that continues after the hire
“Steven has been a joy to have on the team. He brings positive energy and is always eager to get to work. During his shift, Steven focuses on keeping the store tidy by folding T-shirts and straightening product. He pays attention to detail and makes sure apparel is in the right order. He always has a big smile on is face when he starts his shift. He is great support on days we have new product releases.”
Making the right connection is only part of PROVAIL’s role. A PROVAIL Employment Consultant continues to support Steve on the job and stays connected with Funko.
Beth pointed out how PROVAIL is a resource for both the employee and employer.
“PROVAIL was pivotal in the success of this placement. PROVAIL knew that Steven would be the perfect fit for this role, and they were right! They regularly check in and support Steven if he needs extra help. It has been a good partnership.”
Beth’s advice for another business considering a partnership with PROVAIL?
“We have had such a positive experience with Steven. His joy for his work is infectious. I would recommend partnering with PROVAIL for inclusive hiring. They have made it a very easy experience and show genuine care for both the employee and the hiring business.”
Could Inclusive Hiring meet a need on your team?

Here are the first two items from our Getting Started with Inclusive Hiring checklist:
☐ Start with your business needs
Think about where your team needs additional capacity. PROVAIL can help identify tasks and responsibilities and shape them into a specialized role you may not have considered before.
☐ Focus on the essential functions
Take a fresh look at what someone really needs to do to be successful in the role. PROVAIL can help customize a position that addresses unmet needs in a more targeted way than a standard job posting.
